About Young Scholars Learning Academy

At Young Scholars Learning Academy, we understand that the most critical period for brain development is in the first few years of life. During this time, brain cells, called neurons, begin to connect to form a useful brain. The development of these connections, called synapses, is primarily formed by experiences and settings. It is essential to provide young infants and children with experiences that stimulate the development of these synapses. These connections influence the child's intellectual capacity, language, memory and lifelong skills.

We will provide a safe and nurturing setting that will promote optimal development for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our strong educational focus will build a secure foundation for your child's future. It is our goal to create lifelong learners. At Young Scholars Learning Academy, we understand the need for a well balanced day that combines learning, fun and rest. Physical activity and fitness are encouraged in our fabulous indoor gym and large outdoor playground.

We provide care and learning Monday through Friday from 6 am to 6 pm.

Safety & Security We understand the importance of feeling confident about the safety and security of the facility that your children are in. Our open floorplan and large windows allow parents and administrators easy viewing access. Parents can feel secure knowing that the doors around the perimeter of the building are locked, and the main entrance is password protected to ensure that only authorized individuals can gain access. For added security, cameras are located at the building entrances and are being monitored and are recording at all times. Parents use the fingerprint scanner located at the front desk computer terminal to check their child in and out. Children will only be released to their parents or authorized individuals.

NutritionAt Young Scholars Learning Academy, we provide child friendly catered meals and snacks. We follow USDA guidelines for nutritious choices and portion size. Each child will be offered food at least every three hours while in our care. Children eat family style in their rooms, which encourages communication and provides another learning experience for faculty to teach proper eating etiquette.

Open Door Policy In order for us to succeed, we understand the importance of open communication. We welcome your feedback and ideas. At Young Scholars Learning Academy, we encourage parental involvement. There are opportunities for volunteering in classrooms, special events and being part of our Parent Committee.
